We want to be the most responsible furniture company in Denmark. It is at the heart of everything we do. The only footprints we want to leave are stories in the lives of the people who have felt at home in our furniture. We produce furniture in FSC®-certified wood (FSC-C164841), look for our FSC®-certified products. We always aim for our textiles to meet Oeko-Tex or EU Ecolabel standards.
We are working towards our furniture - from the small stool to the large dining table - coming under the wings of the Nordic Swan Ecolabel. At the same time, we work daily to reduce our carbon footprint and fine-tune our production to leave nature richer for the future. Since 1942, we have FDB Møbler creating furniture that lasts, and we want to ensure that our history can be proudly passed on to our grandchildren's children.
In a world where resources are limited, we take responsibility for using them wisely. FSC® certification is an expression of this commitment, and it's no coincidence that our wood is FSC® certified. FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council) ensures that forests are managed in a way that takes into account the environment, wildlife and the people who work in them. At FDB Møbler we see FSC® as a natural extension of our heritage, where quality and responsibility go hand in hand. We choose FSC® certified wood to create furniture that celebrates not only the beauty of the forest, but also its future. Working towards the Nordic Swan Ecolabel is a journey for us with a clear goal: to offer furniture that meets the strictest environmental requirements throughout its life cycle. The Nordic Swan Ecolabel is not just a stamp, but an ambition to make a difference. It represents consideration for our surroundings, from the first thoughts in the design studio to the finished piece of furniture in the home.
We are working towards our products carrying the Nordic Swan Ecolabel. It's about minimizing environmental impact, but also about ensuring that our furniture fits into an everyday life where responsibility is part of the aesthetics.
