Info about the product

The designer Rasmus Appel presents his take on what a wooden display case should look like in a contemporary and simple design. Rasmus Appel, who trained as an industrial designer at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture, is from Bornholm, and is inspired by the boat-building and the beautiful oak dinghies which are known for their fine proportions, construction and joints. The result is the display case Boderne, a simple piece of furniture that will grace any home. It also provides practical storage space with several different options with regard to both functionality and positioning.

Rasmus Appel

Rasmus Appel (1972-) is a trained industrial designer from the School of Architecture and has a special interest in how the living and organic properties of the tree are translated into furniture in a contemporary context. It often comes as an expression in a somewhat surprising way, such as the Amager shelf he designed for the exhibition shots at the tribe in the Industry House in 2018, which was praised in the review in Politiken. He has now addressed the display cabinet - the stalls - as the first task for FDB Møbler.
Rasmus Appel was raised on Bornholm, and as an ØBO he has a special approach to the simplicity and the positive deselections.
