Info about the product

The combination tray and table called Bakketop (“Hilltop”) provides a splendid example of how FDB Møbler blends design, craftsmanship and functionality to produce products that are far more than the sum of their parts. Perfectly suited to the bedside or the end of a sofa, Bakketop also works well as a freestanding piece of furniture. It was originally designed for Snedkernes Efterårsudstilling (Cabinetmakers’ Autumn Exhibition) in 2018, and the young carpenter Mathias Juul Overvad gets the credit for its highly detailed woodworking.
Designer Philip Bro - FDB Møbler

Philip Bro

Designer Philip Bro (b. 1962) has since the beginning of the 1990s created unique designs for Danish companies such as Georg Jensen, Ikea, Royal Copenhagen and not least Le Klint, where he has created modern variations of the classic lamps. His design is based on the Danish design tradition with a look for function and sustainability, but at the same time has a playful and aesthetic expression. Even Philip Bro points out that he wants to add his products "a poetry," otherwise he does not think the design is successful.
