Info about the product

The modular sofa, Mols, is inspired by the magnificent nature of Mols in Djursland, Denmark. The sofa’s shape, lines, and undulating movements mimic the curves of the landscape and coastline of Mols, creating a sense of movement and flexibility. The undulating backrest and rounded armrests create an organic and soft look that invites you to cosy up and relax. Every detail is crafted to create a piece of furniture that pays homage to traditional craftsmanship while matching the aesthetics of a modern home. The design is a tale of past charm and present elegance, united in a timeless design. The materials are carefully selected for their durability and comfort, and the construction is created using modern production methods to ensure high quality. The backrest features the age-old technique of tufting, which creates depth and shape in the upholstery and gives the sofa a subtle classic look. The modular design makes Mols flexible and easy to adapt to any space – and whether it's placed in a cosy summer house or a modern apartment in the city, this sofa will be the centre of relaxation, comfort, and style.

Laura Bilde

Laura Bilde (F.1990) is a Danish designer who since her design bachelor from VIA Design, Herning in 2016, has collaborated with both Oak carpets, please Wait to be Seated, Holmegaard and FDB Møbler.

For Bilde, good design is an expression of the products that are straightforward, useful and that have something that makes us remember them. "Today we are totally overflowing of digital impressions and it becomes harder for us to remember the things we see, both physically and digitally because we see so much. That's why I myself become extra attached to the designs where materials, shape And function appears luminous clear.

In her design process, Laura Bilde is often inspired by industrial traditions and classic production methods. She finds great learning and inspiration in how previous generations have done the work and used the various tools, and her designs are driven by a great desire for the timeless - what is not just going or dying with a specific decor trend, but as in The place can create joy for many years.
