Info about the product

The Sletterhage Lighting Collection is named after an iconic Danish lighthouse. For decades Sletterhage Lighthouse has been lighting up the area, helping fishermen, locals, and tourists navigate the beautiful cape of Helgenæs, located exactly in the middle of Denmark. Inspired by the many industrial elements in the lighthouse, the design is made of rifled glass in a transparent construction. By using the same glass components in varying ways, Danish designer Laura Bilde has created a close-knit family of lamps.

Laura Bilde

Laura Bilde (F.1990) is a Danish designer who since her design bachelor from VIA Design, Herning in 2016, has collaborated with both Oak carpets, please Wait to be Seated, Holmegaard and FDB Møbler.

For Bilde, good design is an expression of the products that are straightforward, useful and that have something that makes us remember them. "Today we are totally overflowing of digital impressions and it becomes harder for us to remember the things we see, both physically and digitally because we see so much. That's why I myself become extra attached to the designs where materials, shape And function appears luminous clear.

In her design process, Laura Bilde is often inspired by industrial traditions and classic production methods. She finds great learning and inspiration in how previous generations have done the work and used the various tools, and her designs are driven by a great desire for the timeless - what is not just going or dying with a specific decor trend, but as in The place can create joy for many years.
