Info about the product

The Drejø Boxes are inspired by the classic "shaker box", which was originally designed by the Christian American cult, the Shakers. The Shakers focused on simple, functional furniture without ornamentation and splendour and were a great inspiration for many of our heroes of functionalism. Among other things, they can be seen as the pioneers of Børge Mogensen’s fundamental design mantra: Furniture should make room for people, not the other way around. The Drejø Boxes have plenty of room for everything from needlework, toys, and knick-knack to woolly socks and secret archives. The beautiful round boxes solve a storage problem and function as an eye-catching element in your interior design. The Drejø Boxes are available in several colours and are assembled with simple brass rivets. Use them on the shelf, on the floor, stacked in a decorative tower in the bedroom or as a small side table by the sofa.

Katrine Sander

Katrine Sander is a trained carpenter in 2017, and is today the Product and Design Manager at FDB Møbler, where form and construction are the primary.

For Katrine, Design is something you find calm in - that's what we all live in and with. For the base -oriented person, it is of great importance to our everyday lives that our homes are designed to support us both aesthetically and practically, regardless of taste. A good design does not matter and function, one does not survive without the other. Katrine has always had it safe in functionalism and admires the understated that exhibits all the details. Furthermore, she is a materialistic and nostalgic person who loves things a lot - good things, beautiful things, things that show that time goes by and that good things go over time.
